ImPerium Vancuverii is a premier eSports organization located in Vancouver, Canada. Formerly known as ImPerium Gaming eSports, they span a variety of games including LoL, CoD, and R6S.
June 2019 – May 2020.
Updating and collaborating the improvements of ImPerium was occuring the entire time I worked there and gave the foundation needed for them to soar.
I was in charge of just about everything for this project like project management, creative direction, and development.
ImPerium Vancuverii, formerly ImPerium Gaming eSports was back in its founding stages in mid 2019 and was looking for a designer to come in and take the reigns. Seeings as I had a big love for video games and eSports, it felt like a perfect fit. With direction from the top managers and team leaders, we collaborated to create the first edition of their “professional” look and feel.
A majority of the research for brand and web was spent on competitor analysis. We wanted to be sure that what was created for their brand was unique, but still fit in with their target audiences of hardcore gamers and casual players.

By taking their new brand style and user research, I helped design, direct, and develop their new website for the interim before the convention and for when they’d be fully live, assigning rules and standards for how and when colors and elements should be used.
While the convention got put on hold due to the pandemic, we still gave the client plent of proofs-of-concept for when they begin developing physical assets for their convention center.
Leaving ImPerium Vancouverii in the end was a hard decision for me to make as I felt that the creative team I had become a part of in the end was just about to start something amazing. Alas, life happened and I had to move on, but based on feedback from the internal team as well as the external managers and clients, they loved what we had started as a base. The team has since found their footing and, while the branding has changed in certain ways, it has found its voice in the basis established back in 2019-2020.
